About this course
A complete, practical course on coronary bifurcation PCI for interventional cardiologists who want to move from “getting through” bifurcations to treating them with a clear strategy. It follows the logic of the European Bifurcation Club: understand the consensus, master provisional stenting, learn when and how to use two-stent techniques, protect the side branch, and get out of trouble when things go wrong.
The course is taught by Dr. Osama Shoeib, interventional cardiologist and Lecturer of Cardiology at Tanta University, who trained in complex and left main PCI at Gemelli Hospital in Rome. It includes a one-hour session on Medina 0,0,1 lesions with Prof. Francesco Burzotta.

What you will learn
- The EBC consensus: a guided discussion of the 14th consensus and a read-through of the 16th consensus on provisional stenting.
- Provisional stenting step by step: wiring, lesion preparation, stent implantation and optimisation.
- Two-stent techniques: TAP, Culotte and DK crush, each explained in detail and then demonstrated on a bench simulator so you can see how stents and balloons interact.
- The side branch: why it gets into trouble, how to protect it, how to rescue it, the modified jailed balloon technique, and ostial side-branch (Medina 0,0,1) lesions.
- Troubleshooting: reversed wiring, difficult side-branch access, wire wrapping, longitudinal stent deformation and distal wire perforation, with real case examples.
- My ultimate 10 lessons in bifurcation intervention, drawn from daily practice.

Before you start
You should be comfortable with routine PCI: guide catheters, wiring and stent deployment.
